A meeting of leaders of Opposition groups at Moscow carried a resolution demanding the cessation of arrests, and threatening to form a new party if these should continue. BRISBANE, Aug. 5. Despite the protest of some Cabinet and. a number of private members the Parliamentary Labour Party has decided to increase the salaries of members of Parliament from £SOO to £750 yearly.
