Mr. and Mrs. W. Congreve arrived in Hawera last night and are staying with their daughter, Mrs. A, M. Hall, of Morrissey Street.
Edward William Batchelor (57), a married man employed as a clerk by the corporation, died suddenly at Dunedin to-day. He had always enjoyed good health.
