GERMAN MURDER MYSTERY.
ANOTHER ARREST ATADE.
BY CABLE—PKESB ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT BERLIN, Aug. 3. The police have arrested Schroder’s fiancee, who is alleged to have full knowledge of the murder. The' police believe that her depositions will throw considerable light on the, mystery.
A sensation was caused throughout Germany hv the arrest of Dr Dudolf Haas, a great Madigeburg industrialist, on a, charge, of suborning a. workman a.nd a, chauffeur to murder his- chief cashier, Ilonnann -Helling, who disappeared in 1925. The body was found buried in a collar as a. result of a clue -provided by an anonymous letter to the police. The- chauffeur acknowledged luring the cashier to the- cellar and a workman named Sehroecler confessed to murdering him, but Sehroeder alleged that Haas enticed him to. ,com-
mit the crime. It was suggested that the crime was associated with Helling allegedly discovering that the Haas Company was falsifying its income taxation returns and informing the 'authorities. He mysteriously disappeared five, hours before he was due at the office of the inspector of taxes.
