FATAL MISHAP.

TWO-YEAR-OLD CHILD'S DEATH. OVERTURNED MOTOR CYCLE. The ’two-year-old daughter of Mrs. and Mr. Glen Law-rance, of Rahotu, was accidentally killed near Ilia hot u last evening, and, as the result of the same mishap, Mrs. Liawrance sustained injuries, which necesistated her removial sto New Plymouth Hospital.. Travelling in a motor-cycle and sidechair, Mrs. and Mr. Liawrance, with the child, were returning from a visit to Hawera and Opunake, Mr Liawrance riding the cycle, with, his wife and claaigliiter in the chair. \\ lien they were nearing Raliotu, Mr. i,awrance's overcoat became entangled with the driving mechanism of the cycle, causing it to overturn and the little girl received injuries as the result of which she died shortly latter. Mrs. Liawrance sustained injuries to her head and shoulder, but is reported to be making satisfactory progress. Mr. Liawrance received minor bruises and abrasions, but was able to return to his home.
