C. MBULI’S HERD, TARIKI. AJ FAIR DEMAND. There was a good attendance of buyers at the sale of pedigree Jerseys held on behalf of Mr. C. Meuli, of Tariki, yesterday. The best price secured was 62 guineas for Oakfarnr Fairy Wonder, which was bought by Mr. J. A. Edwards, of Core, She was first and champion at the Wanganui Show in 1925, and was prominent in the prize list at Taranaki shows. Fern, dale Fair brought 32 guineas. Twenty-one cows averaged 22 guineas and the heifers about 8 guineas. Ferndale Master Jellicoe, a junior herd sire, and winner of a first prize as a two-year-old at the New Plymouth show in 1925, fetched 25 guineas. The yearling bulls averaged about 7 guineas. There was a, keen demand for grade cows and heifers, of which 14 were offered The first was sold for £27 10s, while of the others a number made £2O.
