TEA DELICACIES.
Date Or Nut Bread. —Two oupsfu. flour, one cupful milk, one cupful of dates (stoned) or walnuts, two teaspoonsinl carbonate of soda, one. egg, a pinch of salt. Mix all together, put into a wellgreased cake tin, and bake about one hour. Make the day before required. Rolled Oat Biscuits.—Seven ounces Provost oats, three ounces flour, lialfteaspoonful carbonate of soda, one egg. tlnee ounces butter, two ounces sugar. Melt butter, beat up egg and pour on to the dry ingredients. Mix and leave for half an hour before rolling out. Roil out very thin and cut- eitliet into round Or triangular pieces. Bake in a moderate oven till a light golden brown, or cook on a grille.
