YOUNG WOMEN’S* BIBLE CLASS. On Thursday evening last- the 11awera. Methodist* Young Women’s Bible Glass held an “at home” in honour of the “coming of age” of four members of the class and also* to farewell two members (Sister Norah Mills and Miss Museliamip), who are shortly to- Lake up thein residence in Wellington. The leaders, Mrs. L. J. Williams and Mias D l . Bates, received the guests in the class hall, which was arranged as a parlour. After a period of games, etc/, supper was served in the classroom. The* following impromptu toast list was honoured. “The King and Queen,” “National Anthem,” “Our Uhurch,” proposed *bv Mrs. L. J. Williams, responded to*' by Mrs. W. J. Oxbrow; “Our Hostesses of the Winter Sewing Circles, ’ proposed by Miss D. Bates, responded to by Mrs. C. J. Rowe: “Our Fledgings,” proposed by Mns. Williams, responded to by Misses New. Swaddling, Wilson and Gandy, to who-ni -bouquets and gift books were presented; “Departing Friends,” proposed by Miss Squire, to which Miss Mms champ responded. The company joined in singing “Leave Ale with a Smile.” Miss D. Bates proposed “Our Bible Class Movement” and Miss D. Black responded. “Our Visitors,” proposed by Mns. R*. T. Squire and responded to by Aliss Hutchens; “Absent friends,” proposed by Miss* AI. S. Squire, to which Aliss Bates replied. Interspersed between the toasts •songs were contributed by Alisses, EVan>>, Mills .arid Alatoe; pianoforte solos by Airs. Al. R. Jones and Aliss Swan. The accompanists throughout the evening were Airs. AI. R. Jones and A:Li.ss Al. S. Squire. Visitors present included Mrs. Donald, from Sydney, who is the guest of Airs. O'xbrow, Airs. Heddett, of Te Kuiti, and Aliss Hutchens, AVanganui.
