PERSONAL ITEMS.
The many friends of Mrs. W. A. Graham wiil learn with regret of her death at Taihape after a short illness. The deceased lady was for many years a resident of Hawera and latterly of Taihape. She leaves a family of three sons and a daughter to mourn their loss: Messrs. L. Graham (Palmerston North) G. (Rangitawa) and Corner (Taihape).and Mrs. Fred Howard (Wanganui).
Mr'Thomas Lloyd, of Normanby, celebrated his 76th birthday yesterday, and was the recipient of congratualtions and good wishes from a large number of and friends, a considerable party assembling for the purpose. Mr Lloyd, it is of interest to note, was a member of one of the hands which played at the wedding of the late Queen Alexandra. Mr Lloyd has been ailing of late, but is now regaining his strength and health. The Star extends its good wishes to an old and valued contributor.
