(From Our Own Correspondent.) p MAGISTRATE’S COURT. The monthly sitting of the Magistrate’s Court was held at Manaia on Monday, before Mr C. R. Orr Walker, S.M. The following cases were dealt "V'- 4 " with: Civil. L. Crawford Watson v. Reid and Calder, claim £6 2s 6d, judgment for plaintiff and £2 7s costs; same v. A. G. Bailey, claim £3 8s 6d, by default and 23s 6d costs; C. G. R. Wright v. Rangihuna Pine, £l6 19s, hy default and £3 4s costs; same v. Ruru Sam, £6 7s 6d, by default and £2 2s 6d costs; J. A. Pettigrew v. Taurangatae, £ll 16s Bd, by default and £1 18s costs; A. G. Bennett v. William Candy,, claim £146 12s 2d, judgment for plaintiff and £7 4s 6d costs.
