WOMEN’S DRESS IN SPAIN.
MARRIAGE REFUSED. An engaged couple presented themselves at a Valencia parish church to get married, but as the ceremony was about to commence, the priest, fixing a severe eye upon the low-necked dress and bare arms of the bride, refused to proceed with the service, roundly reproaching her for the immodestv of her attire. Accompanied by their friends and witnesses the couple left the church in a very agitated frame of mind.
