Dortmund, Duisberg, Wesel, Essen, and Munster Chambers of Commerce have appealed by telegfraph to the Chancellor and other Ministers for State intervention in the mining crisis, which is threatening to paralyse the Ruhr. Wholesale dismissals occur daily. The director of the Wiendahlsba announced their intention of stopping the pumping machinery and letting the mine become flooded. Further trouble is reported in the Bochum region, where miners have been dismissed because they refused to work two shifts of twelve hours, instead of three eight-hour shifts. —Reuter.
