IN HOSPITAL ADMINISTRATION. DOMINION SYSTEMS. VIEWS OF DR. VALENTINE. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT Received July 23, 12.15 p.m. LONDON, July 22. Except for the maternity hospital at Zurich, which he would like to see. copied by Christchurch and Dunedin, the Continental hospitals do not compare with, those in Britain or the Dominions for cleanliness, staff discipline and economies of organisation administration, said Dr. Valintine, DirectorGeneral of Health for Now Zealand, after a visit of investigation. European and American nurses, he said, were not equal to the smart British type, which was maintaining throughout the Empire the Nightingale traditions in the highest degree. He would like to see Australia, encourage that superiority by State registration, similar to New Zealand's -system.—Sydney Sun Cables.
