—+. (From Our Own Correspondent) Much sympathy is felt for Mrs. T. French, whose brother, Mr. Sutton, was killed recently in the Southland district. It appeals that deceased was topping some trees, and a. branch feel on a live wire. Mr. Sutton went to remove the branch, and, while doing so, was electrocuted. Mr. and Mrs. B. Sheer in, too. have pur heartfelt sympathy in th e sudden death of their infant daughter, which occurred last week. She was the' only girl in the family. In the report of the annual ball of the Farmers’ Union in last Thursday’s Star, some names of thos e who helped to make the function such a success were inadvertently omitted, Mesdames Kirk, Bigham, Wlhitcombe. Jleegan, and Mr. L. Bigham.
