WAR IN MOROCCO.
PEACE NF.GOTIAT lONS. by cable —press association— copyright PARIS, July 20. The Minister fo.r War (M. Painleve) ha* announced that Marshal Petain would remain in Morocco as long as circumstances demanded. He added that peace negotiations were proceedtig, but at the same time a’l necessary measures were being taken to consolidate the frontier and deliver a decisive stroke which' would ensure lasting peace. Abd-el-Krim (the Riff leader) had been informed that two official emissaries from France and Spain were* in possession of the terms of peace, and he con'd learn them if he wished.
