ROMAN CATHOLIC MISSION.
SERVICES AT KAPONGA. A mission conducted by the Very Rev. Father McCarthy, Superior of the Marist Missions staff of Australasia, opened last Sunday at St. Patrick’s Church, Kaponga, and will be continued throughout the week. Large congregations assemble every evening to listen to the stirring addresses of the rev. rnissioner, while the morning Masses are well attended, the majority of the congregation receiving Holy Communion. Father McCarthy extends a hearty welcome to nonCatholics to attend the sermons of the mission, which will close on Sunday morning next at the 9 o’clock Mass.
