COAL CRISIS.
PRIME MINISTER’S APPEAL. DIRECTED TO BOTH SIDES. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT (Received July 9, 12.15 p.m.) LONDON, July 8. In the House of Commons, questioned regarding the coal crisis, the Prime Minister (Mr S. Baldwin) said that he thought it was clear that the possibilities of negotiations were not yet exhausted. He appealed to both sides to explore every opportunity for settlement. He disagreed with the Labourite who stated that the deadlock was complete. —Reuter.
