TREATMENT OF V.D. CASES. (BY TELEGRAPH. PRESS ASSOCIATION.! CHRISTCHURCH, July 8. At a special meeting of the Hospital Board this morning, the report of the superintendent (Dr. Fox) was considered. Mrs McCombs moved: “That- the board dissociates itself from the sentiments expressed by Dr. Fox.” She objected to a statement that men had been led astray by unscrupulous women. The Rev. Mr Carr, in seconding the motion, said lie thought Dr. Fox wished to create a storm, as that was the only way to get under the skin of the average citizen. Dr. Fox, replying, said he had not referred to women in general. The motion was lost by six to four votes.
