DAIRY PRODUCE. OFFICIAL RANGE OF PRICES. BUTTER AND CHEESE FIRM. The Department of Agriculture has received the following cablegram from the High Commissioner for New Zealand. London, dated the 4tli inst.: BUTTER. Market firm and steady. Business quieter this week. Official quotations are: New Zealand. —Finest salted, 188 s to 190 s per cwt (Is 8d to Is Bid per lb); unsalted, 194 s to 196 s (Is Sid to Is 8R1); other qualities, 170 sto 184 s per cwt (Is Bid to Is 7id). Australian.—Salted, 182 s to 186 s per cwt; unsalted, 186 s to 190 s; other qualities, 150 s to 180 s. Argentine.—lßos to 184 s, up to 186 s per cwt; other qualities, 174 s to 178 s. Irish.—Salted, 190 s to, 1925; unsaltedi, 196 s to 198 s. Siberian.—l7os to 178 s. Danish.—l9Bs to 200 s. CHEESE. Market firm and on rise. Good business has been done. Official quotations are : English finest farmers’. —110 s to 114 s per cwt. Canadian.—Coloured and white, 104 s to 106 s per cwt. New Zealand.—Coloured, 105 sto 108 s per cwt (lid to 114 d); white, 106 s to 108 s (Ilid to 11-Rl). Australian.—Coloured, 102 s to 104 s per cwt; white, 102 s to 106 s. Estimated stocks of cheese on hand Tidy 1 at London, Liverpool and Bristol were: Canadian and American, 53,000 boxes; New Zealand and Australian, 64,250 crates; against 15,450 and 113,751) same time last year. Shipments of New Zealand produce arrived this week per s.*s. Port Wellington and Mamari.
