j (From Our Own Correspondent.) I HALL COMMITTEE MEETING. The annual meeting took place last night, Mr. E. J. Ginord being in the chair. Mr. A. H. Gant (secretary) presented the balance-sheet, which fehowea receipts as £be i/s od, expenses £2l 17s iOd, leaving a credit balance of £l2 19s 7d. The committee’s thanks are to be tendered to Messis Astbury and Reeve for the donations to funds, and a special letter of appreciation is to be forwarded to Mr. Maxwell tor his services as auditor for many years. The secretary was congratulated on the healthy state of the finances. The new committee was elected as follows: Messrs Gifford, Gant, rreece, Reeve, ,Parker, Nicholas, and J. Lambie. Mr. Gifford was unanimously re-elected chairman and Mr. Gant secretary. Luring the year the electric ILht had been installed at a cost of £lB ills, but current as yet was, unfortunately, not available. The committee hoped the Power Board would at' an early date complete its work, as the generator was almost beyond repair, and perhaps would not see the season out. It was decided to erect a new tank stand, to accent an offer for six- dozen cups, and to procure s.ffie.ent iirewoou for tlie year. Various matters in connection with drainage were discussed and will receive attention in a few days.
