MR, MASSEY’S HEALTH. ‘•FAR FROM SATISFACTORY.” COMMENT BY HON. J. G. COATES. (BY TELEGRAPH PRESS ASSOCIATION INVERCARGILL, May 1. Replying to expressions of sympathy with the Premier, the Hon. J, G. Coates stated this afternoon that Mr. Massey’s condition was far from satisfactory, and that the Prime Minister was much weaker. The Prime Minister had a broad and a big heart, and put New r Zealand first all the time. He appreciated their references to Mr. Massey as “a true Britisher and a great Imperialist,” and would convey to Mr. Massey their expressions of sympathy.
