OPERA HOUSE, TO-NIGHT. COLLEEN MOORE, AND CONWAY TEARLE. Colleen Moore demonstrates in “Flirting with Love,” which opens at the Opera House this evening, that her range of ability is not confined to comedy by any means. In this picture, in which she is co-featnred with Conway Tearle, she portrays a role which at times calls for a highly emotional type of acting, and in these tense dramatic scene she is not found wanting. The supports include comedy. scenic, and. topical , films. The box plan for reserves .is at Everybody’s Sweet Shop.
GRAND THEATRE. “THE MEASURE OF A .MAN.” “The Measure of a Man,Universal feature,' which will be shown at the Grand Theatre to-night only, is one of those .gripping stories of a man, who, though inspired by ldndly motives, realises that- the same strength by which the jungle beasts maintain supremacy is useful in dealing with mankind at times. William Desmond, star of many Western features made by Universal, stars in this, story, which is located, in a small settlement close to the logging camps . of the North woods. Primarily, the story deals with the efforts of a Bowery .derelict, redeemed through the instrumentality of a .mission worker, to bring some measure of better living to trie acceptance of the logger. He finds opposition from the saloon-keeper and the gambler, but lie batters them into realisation that the Gospel may be represented bv one who knows how to use bis fists. The supporting programme includes a “Buddy Messenger” comedy and International News.
