HAWERA PUBLIC LIBRARY.

REPORT FOR MARCH. Reporting to the council on the affairs of the Hiawera, publici library during March, the librarian (Miss- M. F. Newland) stated that there had been a good and steady increase in the number of members, which now stood at 478. Of the 150 books added to the catalogue, 77 were juvenile, 55 fiction, and 18 good general literature. She added that during the absence of the assistant librarian (Miss Stevens) Miss Hluggins acted in her place.
