DEMONSTRATION SUCCESS. FIRE' BOARD’S APPRECIATION Ait . the meeting of the board yesterday the chairman, apoke most appreciatively of the fine .work done by flawera at the Dominion, demonstrations in, Christchurch. He said that the whole town and district should be . delighted with the ' work done ’by the superintendent and his team. -It ' wa s a great performance and' one that was particularly gratifying to Inspector Hugo, who, the speaker said, watbcthed every movement of the team, and declared: he was very pleased to see a country team win the highest.honour’ open to. any team. It was specially pleasng to him because lie had recommended Mr. Morrison/ for Hawera. It was unanimously resolved to, place on record] .the - board’s, appreciation of the tsuecesses achieved and to send a letter conveying the congratulations of the hoard to. the brigade and to the superintendent.
