The Mayor received a telegram from Mr. Goodwin 'from Wellington this morning announcing, that' only A. H. Hart, New fly mouth representative m the AIL Black' team, was returning to his home, to-day. A. H. West and H. W. Brown will return to-morrow (Thursday). When in Christchurch at the Fire Brigade Demonstration the Hawera team experienced much kindly assistance from the authorities of Sunnyside Hospital, on whose grounds they were ( allowed to train and practise. At the meeting of the Fire Board yesterday it was resolved to send a letter of thank 6 and appreciation to the medical superintendent for all his staff had done to assist the Hawera team. The /body of Allan Gillespie, a storekeeper, has been found at Campbell’s Bay, Auckland. Gillespie, who was a married man with seven children, went out fishing by himself on the night of March li. About 8 p.m. he was hearl by his wife calling for help. Subsequently the boat in which he had been was found overturned. Ben Flavell was admited yesterday to the Taumarunui hospital suffering from a broken leg, a broken rib, and several injuries to the head. His horse stumbled when crossing a narrow bridge', and both were precipitated over the side.
