VICTORIAN CHAMPIONSHIPS. BY CABLE—PEERS ASSOCIATION—COPYB.IGHT • - MELBOURNE, March 15. Following are the results of the Victorian lawn tennis championships: — Men’s Doubles.—Patterson and O’Hara Wood beat Hone and Hnwkes 11—9, 4 —6, 6—B, 12—10, 6—2. Ladies’ Singles.—Mrs. Harper beat Miss E. Boyd 6—2, 6—3. The ladies’ doubles went to Mrs. Harper and Miss Boyd, who had a walkover from Mrs. O’Hara Wood and Miss Todd. In the final of the mixed doubles, Hone, and Miss Boyd beat. Kahns and Mrs. Todd, 6 —4, 6—2., ' In the final for the Victorian men’s singles championship Schlesinger beat O’Hara Wood 6—2, B—6, o—6, 6—l. DAVIS CUP CHALLENGES. NEW YORK, March U. China and Hawaii have challenged for the 1 Davis Cup in the American zone. A challenge lias also been entered by Roumania.
