CONTRIBUTORY PENSION.
REFORAI PARTY POLICY. The Hon. G. J. Anderson, speaking at a meeting of the Reform Party at Eastbourne (Wellington) on Friday night, said they had to fight forces, of disruption which were evident in all parts of the world (says the Dominion). They had been told that the Reform Party had done nothing for Labour; but he might point to the Workmen’s Compensation Act, and he hoped the Government wopld do still more in that direction in the next session. If a Reform Government was returned again he wanted to see a .universal pension, and a contributory pension for the whole of the countrv. That was on right, proper and souncl business lines, and would do an immense amount of good to the whole population. It would remove any feeling whatever of being dependent upon the State for anything, because individuals would contribute towards their pensions.
