The first shipment of fruit to reach here since tlve prohibition proclamation was gazetted, consequent on foot and mouth disease in U.S.A., mlived by the Tahiti from 'Frisco, and in accordance with the new .eguiations each case was thoroughly fmnigaieu before being landed. Owing to the Tahiti’s fruit being on the water at the time the proclamation was made prohibition was not enforced, but no further shipment will be permitted to be landed.
