AGREEMENT WITH. MARCONI. 1Y CABLE—PEERS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT (Received An. 2, 11.55 a.m.) LONDON, Aug. 1. In reference to the agreement with Marconi, Mr Hartshorn said he understood that arrangements were now being made with Australia and South Africa for the erection of beam stations, as already arranged with Canada Replying to critics, Air Hartshorn contended that if at the end of twelve months they took over the service,” which complied- with all stipulated guarantees, it would be a substantial and profitable business. He hoped that erection would be bagun almost immediately after ratification of the agreement.—Reuter.
