The attendance of the public at the Hastings Horticultural and Industrial Society's Show on Wednesday evening was very large, despite the fact that the weather was unfavorable. Everybody was delighted with the exhibition, which reflects credit upon the Committee and exhibitors alike. The judges had a severe task, and did not complete their work until late in the afternoon. It would be invidious to mention any special exhibits when all were so uniformly good. The competition in the amateur classes was not as keen as was anticipated, but the exhibits were very creditable. The show is to be continued to-day, when we hope to see another large attendance.
