THE GATTON TRAGEDY.

In the Gatton enquiry, Mrs Murphy gave evidence that she knew of no one who had a grudge agaiast her murdered children. She believed they were killed because they were the first that happened to come along the road. McNeill refused to allow his wife to give evidence, and removed her to Toowoomba. The Magistrate adversely commented upon his action, and ordered the wife to be compelled to attend to give evidence.
