MAX A WAT U R.C. MEETING. (Per Press Association) Palmerstox North, Monday. For the Racing Club's summer meeting the following handicaps have been declared by Mr J. E. Henry:—

Acceptances for above eyents close on Saturday nest, 17th inst. AUCKLAND TRAINING NOTES. Auckland, This day. The course proper and outside hurdles were open at Ellerslie this morning. Waiorongomai and Merry Maiden galloped a mile in lmin 54secs. Blue Jacket, with a good weight up, assisted by Canopus and St Ursula, ran lh miles in 2min 32secs. It was a good gallop. Nestor abvered two miles on the tan at top. He moved sluggishly, but pulled up all right. St Paul traversed If mile at top. For the first half mile he was assisted by Auld Reekie, and in the last mile and three furlongs by St Ursula, who was just as good as St Paul at the end of the journey. St Paul is none too sound. Panoply ran the Cup distance, assisted by Volcano and Lady Howitzer, in 2min oßsecs. Coronet and Eton galloped a fast mile in lmin olsec, both shaping well. Tirant d'Eau and Cceur de Lion ran twice round on the course proper at half pace. Both look well. Acone, who had the best of the weights, beat Explosion over li miles, run in 2min sosec. Mis? Rose had all the best of Miss Emmy and Lillie over a six furlong run in lmin 22sec, Record Reign strode over 1£ miles at threequarter pace. Rex easily beat Thelma over five furlongs. Red Lancer strode over a mile in lmin 50secs. in good style. Djin Djin covered two rounds on the tan. Conspirer did steady work. Roselea was too good for Letitia and Hastings over five furlongs, run in lmin 19sec. Seahorse ran five furlongs, St. Peter doing six furlongs in lmin 21 sees.
