IN pursuance of the Regulations of Elections Act, 1881,1, James Booth,Return, ing Officer for the East Coast Electoral District, do hereby give notice that by virtue of a writ, bearing date the fourteenth day of November, 1889, under the hand of the Clerk of the Write, an Election will be held for tbe return of a qualified person to serve as a Member for the said Electoral District; and that the Nomination of Candidates will take place at the Court House, Gisborne, at noon, on the 6th day of December, 1889, and that a Poll (if necessary) will be taken at the several Polling Places of the said District on the 13th DAY OF DECEMBER, 1889.
