CYCLING D. Johnstone Wins Road Cycle Race:

The Greymouth Cycling Club held a six-mile road race bn Saturday, under perfect riding conditions. D. Johnstone rode a well-judged race to round off a series of minor placings with a popular win from D. Clark, junr. K. Morgan w'as close up third. The sprint foi- fastest time developed into an exciting tussle between J. Cooper, a veteran, and E. Patterson. Cooper put an early break on his opponent which he held to the finish. D. Johnstone (21min), time 18min 54 sec, 1; D. Clark, junr. (21min), time 19min 6sec, 2; K. Morgan (11 min), time 17min 32sec, 3. J.
