Man Charged With Foxton Murder
PALMERSTON NORTH, Nov 11. Considerable public merest was displayed today when a massive halfcast Maori flax-cutter, Napoleon Brown, aged 28, faced a 'charge in the Police Court of murdering Mrs Emily Christina Hall, 69-year-old widow, at Foxton. The accused was remanded to appear at Wellington or November 18. He entered the dock manacled to a, 6ft. constable, whom he overtopped considerably, with bulk and strength to jnatch. Unfamiliartity with the court precincts deprived a large number of the grat'fication of their curiosity regarding the accused.
