FATAL ACCIDENTS
P.A. INVERCARGILL Nov 7. As a result of injuries when he was thrown by his horse, Alexander Rennie Porteous, aged 42, a farmer, of Parawa, d'ed yesterday morning. He was found in an unconsious condition by the side of the road near his farm and died before medical aid could be obtained. It it? thought that Mr Porteous must have lain unconsious by the road-side for some t : me before being found by a passer-by. He is survived by his wife. TRUCK RUNS OVER INFANT p.A. AUCKLAND, Nov 8. A boy was killed when run over by a truck near Whau bridge on the Great North Road, Avondale. this afternoon. He was Leonard William Faber, aged 5, son of Mr John Logan Faber, of Naumai Street, Avondale. The boy was taken to Auckland Hospital in an ambualnce, but was dead on arrival.
