MAIN PRIZES IN OVERSEAS LOWERY COME TO N.Z.
Once again New Zealand ticketholders have won major prizes in overseas consultations. The first prize of £50,000 in each of the two consultations came to the Dominion, one to the North Island and the other to the South Island. Under the nom de plume of “Lucky June”, a Petone resident won the No. 1 consultation, while a Dunedin ticket-holder, with the address, “Carisbrook 6, Sawyers Bay”, is the first prize getter in the No. 2 consultation.. Other good prizes have also come the way of New Zealanders. “Tar Babies”, Auckland, have won the second prize of £lO,OOO in the No. 2 drawing. The first three prizes—of £lO,OOO, £2OOO and £l2so—in the 184th consultation hav e likewise come to Dominion ticket-holders. An investor with the nom de plume “Grand Piano, Onehunga”, has won the first prize, and “B Syndicate”, of Dunedin, won the second, while the third prize goes to “Four Mugs”, Palmerston North.
