Honey prices to producers for the 1949 season were announced yesterday by the Minister of Marketing Hon E S. Cullen. Prices for the honey supplied to the Internal Marketing Department are 7d per lb. pro rata, according to grade, plus a flat rate bonus of 4d per lb. Advances ha\ e already been paid to the producers concerned. The balance will be disbursed forthwith, said Mr Cullen.— P. A.
The Pricfe Tribunal announced at Wellington yesterday the prices of toys, stationery, and musical instruments would generally be lower to the public than formerly. Reductions of 5 per cent, or more in the profit margins in some instances were made in price orders. Agreement on the reductions had been reached between the trades concealed and the Price Control Division.
