I do not think there will be any great .demand for faulty health stamps, because ther are so many in circulation,” said a Greymouth stamp dealer yesterday, when commenting on a report that some stamp collectors in New Zealand were buying large number of health stamps in the hope of making high' profits in years to come. It would not be like the health stamps of 1931, issued at the height of the depression, when onjy about 80,000 sheets were sold, he said. These sheets were now bringing in as much as £lO each. The dealer added that the stamps should only increase by about four or five times in price but, like any other market, this was unpredictable. Very few of the stamps were identical with their neighbour in every detail, being caused by the new photogravure process incorporating a fine silk screen which was used for printing stamps, he added. It was impossible for the screen to cover a similar position on every stamp and therefore flaws were •bound to develop. It was not, as some people believed, a fault in the original. In the old system of printing all stamps were perfect facsimilies of the original.
