BRITAIN REJECTS SOVIET PROTEST
LONDON, Oct. 10
Britain, in a 60-word Note to Russia to-day, emphatically rejected the Soviet accusations regarding Italy’s adherence to the Atlantic Pact. The Soviet Government alleged that by adhering to the pact Italy had violated the Italian Peace Treaty.
Britain Rejects Another Protest (N.Z.P.A.—REUTER CABLE)
(Rec. 10.55). LONDON, October 1. A Foreign Office spokesman said Britain had rejected the Soviet protest against the formation of the German Republic of Bonn. Russia had complained that the Western Allies' action in setting up the Bonn Government violated the Potsdam Agreement.
