N.Z. RECORDS WELLINGTON, Oct 5. The New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association has granted the following applications for records: — Miss S. N. Hardman, women’s 75 yards, B.ssec; Otago women’s relay team, women’s 440 yards relay, 49.5 sec; Miss S. Strickland, women’s 80 metre hurdles, 11.7 sec; D. W. Jowett, junior 100 yards, lO.lsec; R. W. Meban, junior 100 yards lO.lsec; (equalled record) ; N.T.O. Wilson, junior 880 yards, lmin 55.45ec; R.F. Johnson juncor 440 yards, 50.9 sec. A loss of £3lB 12s 4d was reported on the years working by the treasurer, Mr L. A. Tracy, on which £257 19s lid which was the management committee’s share of the loss of £567 Ils lid on the Australian tour last summer. Auckland had not paid a single registration fee and the centres annual subscriptiona, [totalling £4o. had not been paid. A committee was appointed to investigate the possibility of arranging athletic meetings in various centres for some of the best overseas athletes n-Axt year. Mr J. W. Holley (Otago) wa. 1 nominated to manage the New Zealand team at the Empire Games. Mrs P. C. Ellis, (Auckland), was appeinted as chaperone.
