The Federal Executive of the Australian Labour Party wants baby sitting provided through the Commonwealth Employment Service. The executive has decided to ask the Minister in charge of this service to carry out thev' n’rms. Meaih?'■=?
the executive felt that the occupation of baby sitter has become of national importance. One membe- that «ome baby sitters were paid 5s hourly, but that the problem was to get them. The nresident of the executive Mr A. S. McAlpine, said that if an award were made babv sitters would come under the Miscellaneous Workers’ Union.
