P.A. WHANGAREI, Oct. 4 Marked superiority in every department of the gamd gave the Australian Rugby League team an easy 39-9 winover a Northern Provinces' side at Jubilee Park, Whangarei to-

day. The Australians scored nine tries, two penalty goals, and four conversions, to a converted try and two penalty goals. They led 18-2 at half-time and except for brief periods were always dominant.

The -Australian backs thrilled the crowd with their dazzling speed, glorious handling, and constructive thrust. The forwards backed up -well, handled like backs, and covered well on defence.
