FOOD IN RUSSIA GROWS SCARCER
ISTANBUL, Sept 26. Lieutenant Valentin Kondratiyetich of the Russian Army, who landed in an aii craft near Sinope, in Turkey said in a press interview in a military prison that there is a great shortage of supplies in Russia. The money earned by the average family was insufficient to buy full bread rations. There was also a great lack of wool and meat in Russia, because these commodities were being sent to the satellite States. Lieutenant Kondratiyetich said it was impossible to organise any democratic movement in Russia, but many people listened to the British and American broadcasts.
