ENGLISH COMMUNISTS’ KNIFE INTO U.S.A.

The British Communist Party Executive’s general election programme, for discussion at the Party’s congress in November, demands the repudiation of “sectional war blocs" like the Brussels and th P Atlantic blocs; return to the United Nations Charter; and “the ending of military occupation . of Britain by American troops and bombers, and restoration of Britain’s national independence”. The programme urges a drastic change in British foreign policy “to end dependence on American imperialism and to bring Britain alongside the socialist Soviet Union to ensure peace and national independence’’.
