Tar Sealing In Otira Township
Mr J. B. Kent. MP. on behalf of the residents of 'Otira, waited on the Minister of Works, the Hon. R. Semple yesterday with a request that the tar sealing of the road through the residential area of Otira should be considered. Mr 'Semple: We want to keep the dust out of peonleT houses. In reply to Mr Semple the District Public Works engineer. Mr A. B. Bromner said that the iob was not a big one. and, with the approval of the Highways Board, the work could be done next summer.
“Tell the people that I have ordered that the work is to be done next summer,” Mr Semple replied to Mr Kent.
