OHURA MINE STRIKE ENDING TO-DAY WITHOUT RESULT

P.A. NEW PLYMOUTH, May 3. work Win De resumed ac me laiu Waitewhena and Benneyclale State collieries to-morrow. These mines have been idle for two weeks, Decause of a dispute concerning extension of private contracting at an open cast mine at 'Waitewhena. It was stated at Ohura, to-night, that, some of the men at Waitewhena would return to work dissatisfied with the decision. The decision is that discussion on points at variance will be dropped for the meantime at least.

It is understood that the oper--tions at the Waitewhena mine will continue as was planned Delore the strike began.

It is estimated that the loss resulting from the strike is one of more than 6000 tons of onal.
