BUSY AFTERNOON FOR MINISTER OF WORKS
The Hon. R. Semple, Minister of Works and Railways, who reached Greymouth at 1 p.m. yesterday from Christchurch, had a busy afternoon receiving district deputations. For more than two hours, Mr Semple gave close and sympathetic attention to numerous public and private deputations. To-day he will inspect the pedestrian bridge -at Blaketown before leaving for Westport, where he will spend the night. Accompanying I\lr Semple is Mr K. H. Janes, private secretary M- W. T Munro private secretary Railways), and Miss E. M. Brown, stenographer, The party are staying at the Albion Hotel.
