Paris Holds Up
PARIS, Feb. 24 The reputation of the famous French Surete Nationale, which is almost as legendary as that of Scotland -Yard, is suffering. About two months ago .thieves, in a daring davlight hold-up. took about 5,000,000 francs (about £5000) from the Financial Bureau of the orgamsatlC Yesterday an unnamed employee of the Finance Bureau absconded with 4 000,000 more francs.
