AMERICAN CARS IN NEW ZEALAND
AUCKLAND, Feb 25. Many people have commented on the number of American motor-cars that have appeared recently in Auckland. 'Die Minister of Customs, Rt. Hon. W. Nash, told an interviewer to-day that he did not think there had been any licenses issued during tne past 12 months for cars from the United States. He added that an American could bring his own car into the country. What possibly had caused the comment, Mr Nash added, was that someone in Wellington had Drought in some Packards, on a 1947 license.
