RED ARMY MISSILE LANDS IN AMERICAN ZONE OF GERMANY

BERLIN, February 22. A. United States officer stated that a missile which landed in the American zone was a Russian rocket, fired in practice during manoeuvres. It did no damage, and no one was injured.

The officer said: “It was a rocket of the ordinary type, with nothing unusual in its construction. Apparently it was fired during practice and strayed a little off its course”. The missile has been described as streaking through the sky with flames shooting from the tail.
